How I Keep My Colored-Hair Healthy

I started dying my hair my first year of college. About every 4 months, I get partial highlights or partial balayage. As we all probably know, bleaching your hair takes a real toll on the health of your hair. Therefore, I’ve taken a lot of steps to mitigate the damage and keep my hair as healthy as possible. So far so good! Here are the steps I take and my go-to products:

Hair Masks
Frequency: once a week
Favorite Products:
Leave-in-Conditioners
Frequency: every time after showering!
Favorite Products:
Heat Protectant
Frequency: every time before heat-styling
Favorite Products:
Wide Tooth Combs
Frequency: every time in the shower
Favorite Products:
Hair Oils
Frequency: 3x per week, and once a week I use a scalp oil as an over night treatment

In addition to all these steps, don't forget to get frequent hair cuts! I get my hair trimmed every 3 months :)
