Whenever I’m packing for a trip, I always dread the decision of which hairstyling tool to bring. Do I pack my curler? Will I want my straightener instead? What about my blowout brush? So, when I spotted the L’ange Le Duo 360 Airflow Styler at Ulta, I thought I had finally found the perfect all-in-one solution.

In theory, the L’ange Le Duo is designed to deliver both “sleek, straight locks” and “delightful curled styles,” combining a straightener and curler in a single tool. Unfortunately, in practice, it falls short of that promise.

Curling Performance

When it comes to curling, the tool does an okay job. The built-in air vents are meant to cool your hair on contact, supposedly helping curls last longer. While it does create curls, I wouldn’t say it outperforms any of my other curlers. It works, but it doesn’t wow me.

Straightening Performance

Now, here’s where things really fall apart. As a straightener, this tool is practically useless. The clasp doesn’t apply enough pressure to properly grip the hair, making it nearly impossible to get a sleek, smooth finish. I found myself needing multiple passes to get any real straightening effect—far more than with a traditional flat iron. For this reason, I wouldn’t call this a true "duo" styler because it barely functions as a straightener at all.

Final Verdict

I was genuinely excited about the idea of never having to choose between a curler and a straightener when traveling. But after testing the L’ange Le Duo, I can confidently say it’s not worth the investment. If you’re looking for a high-performing styling tool, I’d recommend sticking with dedicated straighteners and curlers instead. Unfortunately, this is one purchase I regret.
