Love Island x Maybelline Collab: Review

Brand new bombshells have entered the villa!! The drama from this season of Love Island USA has been all over my social media, and probably yours too. But even more exciting than the show's twists and turns is the fact that Maybelline was the official sponsor, and they launched some new products perfect for that sun-kissed, beachy summer vibe. So, let's get into it – here are my honest thoughts on some of the new Maybelline x Love Island USA products.
Maybelline was spot-on when they said this product is ultra-blendable and buildable. I tried the shade Electric Bronze, hoping to use it as a bronzer, even though it's super shimmery. It definitely gave me a nice glow, but it wasn't pigmented enough to provide the bronze color I was looking for. I had the same issue with Sol Search, which I tried as a blush. It just didn't show up enough, and when I tried to build it up, it was way too sparkly. Overall, I found these a bit tricky to use, but I think with some practice they could be nice for a subtle, summery glow.
If you know me at all, you know I'm obsessed with the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara. It's my ride-or-die, the only mascara I ever use. I don't even bother trying new ones anymore. But, when I saw another Lash Sensational was coming out, I was definitely intrigued. And guess what? Just like its predecessors, I'm loving this mascara!
I was really impressed with this brow gel too! When I'm looking for a new one, I always make sure it doesn't flake or clump up – basically, I want it to look like I'm not wearing anything at all. This brow gel definitely delivered on that front. I experienced no flaking, and my brows stayed put all day without feeling stiff or crunchy. If you're looking for a solid drugstore brow gel, this one is definitely worth checking out!
I love how this lip gloss isn't sticky at all. This gloss leaves my lips hydrated and fuller-looking. However, I find that it doesn't last very long. But overall, definitely one of the best drugstore lip products I've tried! Perfect for keeping in my purse.
