Loving Tan "Purest" Products: First Impressions

If you know me, you know that I try to avoid products with artificial fragrances as much as possible. Historically, this has been challenging when it comes to self-tanners. I've always wanted to try the brand Loving Tan because I've heard great things about their products, but I was hesitant.

Recently, while shopping at Ulta, I discovered that Loving Tan now offers a line of “Purest” products, made from 97% Certified Organic and Naturally Derived Ingredients. I was ecstatic to find that “fragrance (parfum)” was not included in the ingredient list. Excited, I decided to give this line a try and purchased the Loving Tan Purest Tanning Mousse in Medium. Here are my thoughts:

To apply the tanner, I used the Loving Tan Application Mitt. I applied the mousse directly to my skin, blending it in with circular motions. I also made sure to moisturize my feet, ankles, hands, and wrists before application. I applied the tanner before bed, left it on overnight, and showered in the morning.

When I woke up, I was pleased to see little to no streaking. I was particularly surprised that my wrists, where I usually get streaks, looked flawless.

Overall, I found the outcome subtle and free from the typical orange tint, which is always a win with self-tanning products.

I generally don’t mind the smell of self-tanners, but if you do, I found this product to be less pungent than most. While it still has the characteristic scent of self-tanners, it wasn’t overwhelming.

All that said, I’m really excited about this product, especially its focus on organic and natural ingredients. I plan to explore more products in the “Purest” line, starting with the Purest Face Tanning Serum. Stay tuned for updates!
