Welcome to Skyllure!

Hey there! I'm Skyler, and I am so excited to introduce you to Skyllure.

I'm a 22-year-old Mainer, fresh out of college with a degree in history and economics. I had big plans to conquer the corporate world in New York City right after graduation, but life (and my employer) had other ideas.  When my start date at a management consulting firm got pushed back to January 2025, I realized I had this amazing opportunity to dive headfirst into something I'm truly passionate about: all things beauty and self-care.

I've always been a beauty enthusiast. When I was a kid, I dealt with severe migraines with aura. On days when I had a migraine, I had to miss school, sit in a dark room, and my vision was impaired. I couldn’t read, look at screens, or pretty much anything. To keep myself entertained in my room, I started experimenting with makeup. Let's just say my mom's makeup collection got a serious workout these days!

Those early days of playing with lipstick and eyeshadow weren't just a distraction from the physical pain I was experiencing – they were my first realization of the transformative power of beauty.  It was an outlet for fun, self-expression, and eventually, a whole lot of learning. I spent hours a day watching YouTube gurus, reading about the latest trends, and begging my mom to buy me one new product every time we went to the drugstore. 

Even today, I still find that same joy in a good skincare routine or experimenting with a new makeup look. Makeup, skincare, haircare – it's my happy place. And that's exactly why I created Skyllure.

I wanted to build a space where everyone, from beauty newbies to total pros, could share that same excitement.  Whether you're searching for the hottest new releases, tips for glowing skin, or just some inspiration to try something new, Skyllure is here for you.
